Alex's Adventure: Fall Season!

Friends!

The leaves have turned and are bright red, yellow and orange! This is one of my favorite times of year here in Wisconsin. I cannot get over how beautiful all the trees are and that God has given me the opportunity to work in such a beautiful environment. Each day, I am reminded as I walk down to camp, how awesome God is and all His blessings that He has given me.  There are days that are tougher then others, but God continues to work in my life and the lives of others through the ministry here at camp. I'm looking forward to another winter season that is just around the corner. That means cold weather, lots of snow, skiing, and many other winter activities. We are starting to slow down for the fall season. The first two weekends of November we have our annual couple retreats and the first two weekend of December, is our annual, 6 night, dinner theater production.  We have a few more weekend groups here in October, but life is about to get even quieter here at camp. I'm looking forward to catching up on some planning and preparation for the winter season.

Last week, I had the chance to sit down with my supervisor (Guest Services Director) and the Executive Director and talk about my future. I was able to share about my summer and what I'm thinking. I'm still not 100% sure that working in the kitchen is what I want to do long term, but I'm still giving it a chance. I signed another contract to work here through the end of April. By January, I am going to have to make a decision if I'm going to stay on beyond April and the summer. I'm still unsure, but God continues to be faithful in helping me make the right choice! I would ask that you keep me in your prayers as I process and seek God's will for me!

I've uploaded some fall photos to my Flickr Photo site. You can visit it here or copy this into your browser address bar: http://www.flickr.com/photos/schubfire/sets/72157625056608914/b I'll try and keep it updated with current photos.

Thanks again for your prayers and interest in following where God has me and what I'm doing! As the weather seasons change, it comforting to know that God never changes and will be the same today, tomorrow, and forever more!

Thanks again for your prayers!

Alex
