Alex's Adventure: 9 Months

Friend!

I've just completed 3 of the craziest months of my life. I've been working in the kitchen here at Camp Forest Springs for 9 months and 1 day. About 9 months and 3 weeks ago, I was approached by CFS to come back as the Food Service Director. I was excited to come back and work, but I had NO idea what I was getting into. It was a rough, but good summer...As I look back, I'm glad I buckled down and hung on for the ride of my life. 10 months ago I was questioning God why I was back in Omaha. I know now that He was preparing me for this current adventure. It has been a tough 9 months, but I am thankful for everything I've learned and experienced. A few thousand people have experienced camp this summer. I'm still trying to process what God has taught me and shown me. It will take some time to process the summer and see what God has been teaching me through everything that happened. I'm excited to see where God leads!

The summer is done. We mainly have weekend groups with a couple of small, week long camps in September and October. I'm excited for what the Fall season will bring. Fall Colors, slower work pace(during the week), and for fellowship. I look forward to getting back involved with my local church and their Wednesday night kid's activities. This was a highlight last winter for me and I look forward with eager anticipation!

I'm headed home late next week for a few days of vacation and relaxation. I'm excited to see family and friends!

As I close, thank you for your prayers over the last 9 months and for the coming months. It has meant the world to me and I couldn't have gotten through the summer without your prayers and strength from God! I look forward to the paths God will have me travel in the future! I have an idea of where He is leading, but I know He could change that at any time and I'm ok with that!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Alex
